MOUNTAIN DEW CAKE
 

1 box orange cake mix
1 pkg. instant coconut cream pudding mix
2/3 c. cooking oil
1 (10 oz.) bottle Mountain Dew
4 eggs

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix dry cake and pudding mix. Add cooking oil and Mountain Dew. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Beat about 4 minutes. Bake in greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan about 30 to 35 minutes. Or you may bake cake in 3 layers at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Frost after cake cools.

TOPPING FOR MOUNTAIN DEW CAKE:

1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. butter
1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, undrained
1 c. flaked coconut
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Mix sugar and flour. Cook in saucepan with butter and pineapple until slightly thickened. Stir in coconut and nuts. Spread over hot sheet (Mountain Dew) cake.
