3 c. self-rising flour 1 c. sugar 1 c. butter 1 c. currants 2 lg. eggs 1 tsp. vanilla Rub butter into flour. Beat sugar and eggs together. Add currants to flour. Add sugar and egg mixture to flour until it forms into a ball. Roll out on floured board. Cut into rounds with cutter. Cook on grill or heavy skillet (not greased) on medium heat, about 5 minutes on each side. Yield: about 36. |
