1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. white sugar
3 1/2 c. flour (half cake flour)
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 c. almonds, slivered
1 c. coconut, chopped
1 lb. gum drops (no black), cut and floured
5 egg whites, beaten and folded in last

Makes 2 loaves. Grease and flour pans. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
