1 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1 1/2 c. cold water 3 tsp. soda 6 tbsp. cocoa 1 1/2 c. mayonnaise 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 3 c. flour Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. 10 inch cake. Frost with chocolate frosting. FROSTING: 1/4 c. Crisco, melted 1/2 c. cocoa 1/4 tsp. salt 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 3 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar, sift if lumpy Melt Crisco in a saucepan, remove from heat. Add cocoa and salt. Stir in milk and vanilla. Add chocolate mixture and mix until smooth. |
