BRANDIED-CHERRY COFFEE CAKE
 

1 (8 oz.) pkg. soft cream cheese
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. milk
1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
1 tbsp. apricot brandy
1/4 c. sliced almonds

Combine softened cream cheese, sugar and butter mixing well until blended. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add combined dry ingredients alternating with milk mixing well after each addition. Pour into a greased and floured 13 x 9 inch baking dish.

Combine pie filling and brandy. Spoon over batter. Sprinkle with sliced almonds. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Refrigerate after cooling (covered). Enjoy!
