MOIST CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH COOL WHIP
FROSTING
 

2 c. sugar
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening or oil
6 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. cold water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda

In saucepan, combine butter, shortening and cocoa. Boil one minute. In large bowl, combine flour and sugar. Mix cocoa mixture well with flour mixture. Add cold water, vanilla, cinnamon, eggs and buttermilk to which soda has been added. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Frost with Cool Whip Frosting.

COOL WHIP FROSTING:

1 (16 oz.) carton Cool Whip
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
2 tbsp. milk
3/4 c. or 1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
