1/2 lb. pink wintergreen flavored lozenges 1/2 c. milk 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. shortening 3 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder Pinch of salt 4 egg whites Dissolve lozenges and milk overnight. Then take sugar, shortening, and vanilla and cream together; add lozenge mixture; mix. Add flour, baking powder, and salt; mix. Then beat egg whites to soft peaks. Fold egg whites into batter. Place into a greased and floured 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until cake tests done. Frost as desired. Enjoy! |
