PINEAPPLE HEAVEN CAKE
 

Every cook's dream is to find something to fix that is quick, easy and Delicious. This dessert fills the bill and then some. If you like pineapple and the richness of cream cheese, then Pineapple Heaven Cake is just the ticket!

1. First make a plain yellow sheet cake from scratch or from a mix.

2. Open a large can of crushed pineapple in heavy syrup, put in a pan and bring to a boil.

3. While the cake is still warm, pour the hot pineapple mixture over the cake still in the sheet pan.

4. Mix together 8 ounces of Philadelphia cream cheese and 1 stick of butter (it helps to melt them together).

5. Add 1 pound of powdered sugar to the butter and cream cheese and mix to form icing.

6. Add 1/2 cup of chopped pecans (optional but delicious) to icing.

7. Spread icing over cake and pineapple while cake is still warm.

8. Garnish with pineapple rings if desired.

9. This cake tastes great when finished but tastes fantastic when it gets to sit overnight in the refrigerator.
