6 c. shredded cabbage 4 tbsp. butter 1/2-3/4 tsp. poppy seeds 1 c. chopped onions 1 c. wide raw noodles Brown cabbage and onions in butter, stir while browning. Crumble raw noodles to bite size. Drop in boiling salt water; boil 8 minutes. Drain. When cabbage is soft (12-20 minutes) add noodles and season with salt and pepper. Add poppy seed. Serves 4-5. |
