8 ears corn 1 c. whipping cream 2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. MSG butter 2 tsp. flour Grated Parmesan cheese 1 tsp. sugar Cut corn from cob and place in saucepan with whipping cream. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in salt, sugar and MSG. Melt 2 teaspoons butter in saucepan and stir in flour, do not brown. Stir flour and butter mixture into corn, cook and stir until slightly thicken. Turn corn into oven proof dish, sprinkle with cheese and dot with butter. Brown under broiler. Makes 8-10 servings. |
