BEAN MUSHROOM MEDLEY
 

8 oz. fresh green beans, broken into 1" pieces (about 1 1/2 c.)
2 fresh carrots, cut into slices or quartered
1 med. onion, cut into slices
8 oz. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. monosodium glutamate, optional
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1/8 tsp. white pepper

Heat water to boil and cook fresh beans and carrots. Cover and simmer until tender. Drain. Set aside. Cook and stir onion and mushrooms in butter in 10 inch skillet over medium heat until almost tender, about 5 minutes. Reduce heat. Cover and cook 3 minutes. Stir in beans, carrots, salt, monosodium glutamate, garlic salt and white pepper. Cover and cook over medium heat 5 minutes. 5-6 servings.
