1/2 to 3/4 stick of butter 1 pt. sour cream 1 can cream of chicken soup 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese 1 to 2 lb. pkg. frozen Ore Ida hash browns Optional: 2 tbsp. chopped onion 2 tbsp. chopped green pepper
Melt butter, if desired saute chopped onions and peppers. Mix in soup and sour cream. Add to hash browns and shredded cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes in 9 x 13 inch ungreased casserole pan.
