1 qt. tender okra with 1/2 inch stems 1 tbsp. cider vinegar 1 tbsp. bacon drippings Salt Place the okra in a pan with cold water to just cover. Bring to a boil and add the vinegar. Do not stir okra while cooking. Boil until fork tender. Add the drippings and salt to taste. Lift okra from pan carefully to serve. |
