1 onion, chopped 2-3 garlic cloves, chopped 1 tsp. sugar 4 c. water 1/2 c. lentils 1/2 c. barley pearls 1/2 c. brown rice 1/2 c. dried apricots, chopped 1/2 c. raisins 1 1/2 tsp. dry mint flakes Pepper, lightly salt Saute onion and garlic in olive oil for 2 minutes. Add sugar, water and lentils and cook 20 minutes. Add remaining ingredients. Cover with lid making a good seal to keep in steam. Simmer for 20 minutes. Serve. |
