WHOLE WHEAT YEAST - RAISED WAFFLES
 

1/2 c. lukewarm water
1 pkg. yeast (or 1 heaping tbsp.)

Put in a large bowl. Let stand 5 minutes. Then add: 1/2 c. melted butter 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. sugar

Beat in:

Cover the bowl and let stand overnight or at least 8 hours on counter (not in refrigerator).

When time to cook add: Pinch of baking soda

Beat well. Batter will be thin. Pour about 1/2 cup onto waffle iron.
