1 sm. carrot, grated, or sliced very thin
1 sm. onion
1 stalk celery
2 qt. precooked Great Northern beans
Salt to taste

In large pot, cover 2 or 3 pounds meat with water. Add 1 small onion, 1 stalk celery, 1 small carrot, grated or sliced very thin. cover and boil until meat comes off bones. Remove bone from liquid, cut into small pieces and return to pot. Add 2 quart jar precooked Great Northern beans. Salt to taste, no pepper, it spoils bean soup flavor.
