6 qt. pot 10 c. water 1 can tomato soup 2 lb. pkg. dry kidney beans 1 onion, sliced 2 lb. Portuguese sausage Rinse beans and cook in 10 cups of water until you can mash them. (Electric mixer is faster!) about 1 hour. The more you mash the thicker the soup. Add rest of ingredients (add sausage whole, slice before serving) and add more water to baring to about 3 inches from top of pot. Bring to a boil, lower heat and simmer for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. |
