BLAYLOCK REUNION STEW
 

10 lbs. round steak, cut into strips
1 c. flour
2 tbsp. cooking oil
5 c. water
3 c. ketchup
1 1/4 c. brown sugar
1 1/4 c. red wine
5 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
5 onions, chopped
Salt and cracked black peppercorns to taste

Dredge strips of beef in flour and salt and pepper. Brown in oil. Combine water, ketchup, sugar, wine, Worcestershire, and onion. Stir well; heat and pour over beef. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and cook, covered, until beef is tender (about 2 hours). Stir occasionally. Serves 20 to 25. Freezes well.
