PEANUT BUTTER SNACK BARS
 

CRUST:

1 c. flour
1 c. quick cooking oats
1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 1/2 c. chocolate chips

(Don't start topping until crust is done.)

TOPPING:

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. honey
1/2 c. instant non-fat dry milk
3/4 c. crunchy peanut butter
2 1/4 c. Raisin Bran (or flakes & raisins)

Combine flour, oats and brown sugar. Cut in butter until mealy. Press into bottom of 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until light brown. Sprinkle chips on hot crust and return to oven until melted. Spread chips. In medium saucepan, combine sugar and honey. (When crust has baked) heat mixture to boiling and remove from heat. Stir in dry milk and peanut butter. Stir until smooth, then add flakes and raisins. Spread topping over melted chips layer. Let bars set before cutting.
