6 ready made Pita cakes, pocketed 2 lbs. chipped (top round or filet) 1 onion, sliced thin 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. Cayenne 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 sm. head shredded lettuce 4 slices American cheese 1 tbsp. julienne pimentos 2 tsp. butter 1 c. sliced mushrooms In very hot skillet melt butter; stir in beef. When beef is browned, stir in onions, salt, Cayenne, garlic, and mushrooms. Lower heat to medium; add Worcestershire sauce. Melt cheese on top; spoon into Pita. Mix pimentos and lettuce; cover meat mixture. |
