16 oz. French style green beans, drained 8 oz. green peas, drained 2 oz. pimento 1 green pepper, chopped 1 onion, chopped 4 stalks celery, sliced 3/4 c. sugar 2/3 c. vinegar 1/3 c. oil 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. Cayenne pepper Combine beans, peas, pimento, green pepper, onion, and celery; set aside. Mix together sugar, vinegar, oil, salt, pepper, and Cayenne pepper. Pour seasoning over vegetables and toss. The tastes blend and it is better if prepared the day before you serve it. This will keep in the refrigerator for 2 or 3 weeks. |
