CHOCOLATE CHIP PUDDING COOKIES
 

2 1/4 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter
1/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1 pkg. (4 serving size) Jello brand vanilla flavor instant pudding & pie filling
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts (opt.)

FOR CHOCOLATE-CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES: Substitute chocolate flavor instant pudding and pie filling.

Mix flour with baking soda. Combine butter, the sugars, pudding mix and vanilla in large mixer bowl. Beat until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture, then stir in chips and nuts. (Batter will be stiff.) Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets, about 2 inches apart. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes about 7 dozen.
