8 c. flour 1 c. nonfat dry milk 1 tsp. salt 4 tbsp. double acting baking powder 1 1/2 c. lard Mix dry ingredients together, cut in the lard until mixture resembles coarse meal store until needed. BAKING POWDER BISCUITS: 2 cups of biscuit mix with 1/2 cup water or milk. Turn onto floured board. Knead for 20 seconds. Roll out to 1/2 inch thick. Cut place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 425 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes or golden brown. |
