1/3 c. shortening 1/3 c. sugar 1 beaten egg 1 1/4 c. milk 1 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 4 tsp. baking powder 1 c. cornmeal Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg and milk. Add flour sifted with salt and baking powder. Add cornmeal stirring only enough to mix. Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full. Bake 425 degrees, 25 minutes. Makes 1 dozen. |
