1 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal 1 c. flour 1/3 c. sugar 1/2-1 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. baking powder 2 eggs 6 tbsp. butter, melted & cooled 6 tbsp. shortening, melted & cooled 1 1/2 c. milk Mix dry ingredients. Beat together remaining ingredients. Add to dry ingredients. Stir until smooth. Pour into greased, hot 10" skillet. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve hot. |
