1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream the butter and sugar. Add other ingredients and mix. Pat out into ungreased 8 x 11 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Before it cools, cut into squares. You can frost with butter frosting.
