This batter makes a very moist bran muffin. 1 c. dry oatmeal 1/2 c. milk 1 egg 1/2 c. molasses 1 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt
Mix bran and oatmeal with milk and let set until soft. When soft, stir in egg and molasses, then add dry ingredients. Pour batter into greased muffin tins, 2/3 full, and bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
