CHICKEN FRICASSE WITH HERB DUMPLINGS
 

1 c. Bisquick baking mix
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. paprika
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 1/2 lb. broiler fryer chicken, cut up
3 tbsp. shortening
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) cream of chicken soup
1 1/2 c. milk

HERB DUMPLINGS:

1/2 tsp. parsley flakes
1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning

Mix baking mix, salt, paprika, and pepper coat chicken. Brown in shortening in large skillet. Remove chicken; drain fat. Mix soup and milk in skillet. Add chicken. Cover; heat to boiling. Cook over low heat about 45 minutes or until chicken is tender.

For herb dumplings prepare dumplings as directed on Bisquick box except add parsley and poultry seasoning. Serves 4.
