1 can chow mein noodles 2 tbsp. Puritan oil 1/2 c. celery, cut on slant 1 med. onion, cut into eighths 2 tbsp. soy sauce 1 tsp. sugar 1/2 c. chicken broth 1/2 c. bean sprouts 1 c. shredded cooked chicken 1 tbsp. cornstarch 2 tbsp. water Heat oil. Stir fry celery and onion over high heat 2 to 3 minutes. Separating onion into layers. Add soy sauce, sugar, broth, and bring to a boil. Add bean sprouts and chicken. Dissolve cornstarch in water and add gradually to sauce. Simmer gently until thick. Serve over chow mein noodles. |
