Bones from turkey carcass or 2 whole baked turkey legs & 2 baked turkey wings 8 c. water 1 (46 oz.) can vegetable juice 2 chicken flavored bouillon cubes 4 med. potatoes, cubed 4 carrots, sliced 3 stalks celery, chopped 3 c. coarsely shredded cabbage 1 lg. onion, chopped 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1/2 tsp. green pepper 1/4 tsp. hot sauce Combine all ingredients in large Dutch oven. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 2 hours. Remove turkey; let cool. Bone turkey and chop meat; return to soup. Reheat if necessary. |
