Market Day Chicken Gems Tomatoes cut into bite size chunks Green pepper cut into bite size chunks 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 (13 1/4 oz.) can pineapple chunks 1/3 c. vinegar 1 tbsp. soy sauce 1 tbsp. cornstarch Bake Chicken Gems in oven according to directions. Meanwhile, mix brown sugar and cornstarch in medium saucepan. Stir in pineapple with juice, vinegar and soy sauce. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly; reduce heat, cover. Simmer, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes. Stir in green pepper and tomato. Spoon over baked chicken gems. Serve over white rice. |
