PECAN PIE (INGREDIENTS FOR 2 PIES)
 

5 lg. or 6 med. eggs
1 1/4 c. of brown sugar
1 1/2 c. Karo syrup, light
4 tbsp. butter or marg.
8 oz. of pecans, chopped
2 tsp. vanilla
2 deep dish pie crust

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In saucepan combine sugar and syrup, stir over medium heat until it begins to boil. Remove from heat and stir in butter until dissolved.

In large mixing bowl beat eggs. Pour sugar syrup mixture into mixing bowl with eggs and beat. Add pecans and vanilla and stir. Pour in pie shells. Bake at 350 degrees appoximately 40 to 45 minutes.
