BLUEBERRY - APPLE CRISP
 

1 (20 oz.) can sliced apples, drained (or use your own cooked apples)
2 c. frozen fresh blueberries
1/2 c. quick cooking oatmeal
1/3 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
3 tbsp. butter
Light cream (optional)

In a 1 1/2 quart microwave safe casserole, combine the apples and the blueberries. Microwave cook, covered, at full power for 5 minutes, stirring fruit twice. In medium mixing bowl, stir together the oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle the crumb mixture over the apples and blueberries. Cook, uncovered, on high for 4 to 5 minutes or until fruit mixture is heated through. Serve with cream. Makes 6 servings.
