MISSISSIPPI MUD PIE
 

1 pkg. Jello cheesecake mix
1/3 c. butter
2 1/2 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk
1 sm. box instant chocolate pudding
2 c. cold milk
Sm. container Cool Whip
Almonds or pecans (optional)

Mix crumbs and 2 1/2 tablespoons of sugar in 8 or 9 inch pie plate. Melt 1/3 cup of butter. Mix into crumb mixture. Press crumbs firmly on bottom and side of plate. Mix 1 1/2 cups cold milk and filling; mix on low speed until blended. Spread filling into crust. Pour 2 cups cold milk into bowl. Add the chocolate pudding. Beat at low speed until well blended. Spread onto filling. Smooth small container Cool Whip over pudding. Sprinkle almonds or pecans over Cool Whip (optional).
