PICKLED PIGS FEET
 

8 pigs feet or ham hocks
3 bay leaves
1 dozen whole cloves
1 whole red pepper pod
1 pt. cider vinegar

Starting with young pigs feet, clean and scrape them well. Cover with cold water and let simmer until tender. Put the feet or ham hocks in a crock. Boil vinegar, cloves, bay leaves, and pepper pod together for a few minutes. Season the feet with salt and pepper and pour the spiced vinegar over while boiling. Cover the crock and set in cool place for 24 hours. Then refrigerate. Ready to eat.
