This recipe is convenient for using up any amount of cucumbers you have just picked fresh from the garden, since it doesn't specify how many cucumbers you need to use. Just use what you have! Make enough of the pickling solution to cover the cut up cucumbers in as many jars as you wish to prepare.
Cut pickles into chunks about 1/2 inch wide and put in jars. To each jar, add 3 onion slices, 2 celery stalks and 1 bunch dill. Boil the pickling solution and pour onto the cucumbers while hot, leaving 1/4 inch headspace. Adjust 2 piece lids and process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
