Wash and slice medium cucumbers enough to fill a one-gallon jar. Slice 3 small onions and add to cucumbers. Mix together: 4 c. dark (cider) vinegar 1/2 c. canning salt 1 1/3 tsp. turmeric 1 1/3 tsp. mustard seed
Pour over cucumbers. Cover, but do not seal. Ready in 5 days, but will keep 9 months.
