3 tbsp. butter 2 1/2 c. uncooked elbow macaroni 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 2 c. cut up mild cheddar cheese (1/2 lb.) 1 qt. milk 1/4 c. diced onion (opt.) 1 tbsp. prepared mustard (opt.) Melt butter in 8 x 12 inch baking dish. Add uncooked macaroni and stir until well coated. Mix in mustard and/or onion if using. Sprinkle salt and pepper and cheese over top. Pour milk over top. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour, uncovered. Stir after 1/2 hour. Top should be browned and milk should all be absorbed, when done. |
