DEL - MAR PUNCH BOWL CAKE
 

1 can pie filling (cherry)
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 c. pecans
1 (18 oz.) container Cool Whip
1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding
1 c. crushed pineapple, drained

(For the pudding mix the instant vanilla pudding with 1 cup crushed pineapple drained, and coconut.)

Layer in punch bowl: Cake layer (cut cake in thirds with thread), 1/3 pudding, cover with Cool Whip, 1/3 nuts, cake layer, 1/2 can cherries or other fruit, cover with Cool Whip, 1/3 nuts. Duplicate cake layer, 1/3 pudding, cover with Cool Whip, and 1/3 nuts. Pudding, cherries, Cool Whip, and nuts.
