5 oz. dry white wine
2 oz. soda water
2 fresh strawberries
1 tsp. sugar
1 thin orange slice
crushed ice

Choose a dry white wine (not sweet). Wash the strawberries. Sprinkle the sugar over the strawberries and crush (muddle) in a mortar and pestle or use the back of a large spoon in a tea cup.

Combine ingredients (except orange slice) and shake in a cocktail shaker filled with crushed ice.

Dip the rim of the serving glass in sugar and then fill with crushed ice. Fill carefully with strawberry spritzer. Cut orange slice halfway through to center and fit over the edge of the glass with a twist.

Variation: Serve a double portion in a tall glass with a strawberry threaded through a straw. Rim glass by dipping in strawberry Jello. A decorative presentation for Summer gatherings by the pool!

Mix together and serve over ice in a sugar rimmed glass.
