MICROWAVE PRALINES I
 

1 (1 lb.) box light brown sugar
2 tbsp. light corn syrup
1 c. whipping cream

Combine above ingredients in 2 quart glass measuring cup. Cook on HIGH in microwave (700 watt) for 13 minutes. Stir once after 6 minutes and rotate cup one half turn. After cooking 13 minutes, remove from microwave and add:

1 tbsp. butter
2 c. pecan pieces

Beat candy mixture until creamy. Drop by teaspoonful onto waxed paper. Yield approximately 32 pralines. HINTS: Spread the waxed paper over brown paper bags to prevent wax from adhering to counter top. If mixture begins to harden while spooning it onto the waxed paper, just return the mixture to the microwave for 20 seconds increments, stirring after each, until mixture becomes spooning consistency.
