1 lb. confectioners sugar 3/4 c. crunchy peanut butter 1/4 c. milk 1/4 c. butter 1 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. Hershey's cocoa (if making chocolate fudge)
Dump all ingredients into oven proof casserole bowl. Microwave on high for 2 minutes; beat with wooden spoon. Pour into buttered dish (8 x 8 inch). Chill.
I got this recipe from a co-worker and also from the show GOOD EATS. It is the best, and never fails.

I had to splash just a tad more milk in this to make it stirable. It came out of the microwave waaaay too thick to even stir! Good luck!

I will add a bit more milk next time, but other than that the result was wonderful. I'd gladly trade some stirring difficulty for watching & waiting for the soft ball stage anytime.

Hi Moon,
Try checking the temperature with an instant thermometer. Remove fudge from microwave first. The temperature should reach 238°F.

I'm with moon, I made the fudge according to the recipe above and it came out of the microwave like soup. I added another pound of powdered sugar and it was OK.

For those of you wondering how much is a pound of powdered sugar....4 cups of unsifted p.sugar makes a pound. Excellent and easy!
