Onions sauteed in beer garnish this juicy burger. 1/4 c. beer 1 tsp. seasoned salt (optional) 2 Kaiser rolls, split 2 tbsp. butter 1 sm. onion, sliced, separated in rings 1/4 c. beer 1 tbsp. steak sauce 1/4 tsp. dried leaf basil 1/4 tsp. dried leaf thyme Lettuce & tomato slices, if desired
In a medium bowl mix beef, 1/4 cup beer and seasoned salt. Shape into 2 patties. Cook patties in a medium skillet over medium heat about 15 minutes until done as desired, turning frequently. Place on bottom halves of rolls and keep warm.
Melt butter in skillet. Add onion. Cook and stir until tender. Stir in remaining 1/4 cup beer, steak sauce, basil and thyme. (May double this for more sauce.) Cook and stir until heated through. Spoon onion mixture on top of patties. Top with top halves of rolls. Serve with lettuce and tomato slices, if desired. Makes 2 servings.
