THAI MARINATED BRAISED BEEF WITH
CUCUMBER
 

1 lb. lean beef (Sugest London Broil)
1 tbsp. oil
1 cucumber, peeled and sliced
1/3 c. water

MARINADE:

2 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. oyster sauce
1 tbsp. ground coriander
1 tbsp. ground black pepper
1 tbsp. sugar

Combine marinade ingredients and smear on beef and marinate for at least 10 minutes. Smear wok or skillet with oil and sear beef. Add water and braise briefly until medium rare. Remove beef, reserve sauce, slice into thin strips arrange beef on bed of cucumber slices. Pour sauce over beef may be served. Hot or cold.
