TAKE-IT-EASY PORK CHOPS

6 pork chops, 1" thick
1 (1 1/2 oz.) pkg. oven cooking bag & sauce mix for pork
2 c. uncooked twisted macaroni or rotelle
2 onions, sliced
1 green pepper, seeded & cut in strips
2 1/2 c. water
1/2 c. ketchup
1/4 c. grated Parmesan or Parmesan-Romano cheese

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Trim excess fat from pork chops, leaving about 1/4" fat on edge.

2. Form oven-cooking bag by closing one end with one twist tie provided. Place in a 1 1/2" to 2" deep large open roasting pan, big enough to prevent bag from extending over the sides.

3. Place macaroni in bottom of bag. Top with onions and green pepper. Arrange chops on top.

4. Blend sauce mix from package with water and ketchup; pour over chops. Sprinkle with cheese. Close bag with twist tie. Punch 4 small holes along top of bag.

5. Place pan in center of preheated oven so bag will not touch top or sides of oven while cooking. Roast for 1 1/2 hours.

6. Carefully remove pan from oven so that bag does not touch hot surfaces of oven.

7. Cut large circle from top of bag. Steam escapes, so be careful. Place chops on serving platter. Arrange onions, green pepper and macaroni around chops. Makes 4 to 6 servings.

Or use 1 (1 1/2 oz.) package oven cooking bag and sauce mix for beef.
