BAR-B-QUE BEEF SANDWICHES
 

5-6 lbs. chuck roast (least expensive roast)
12 oz. 7-UP
40 oz. barbecue sauce
Salt
Pepper
2 pkgs. hamburger buns

Place whole roast into large pot; salt and pepper meat. Pour 7-UP over meat and cover. Bake 3 to 3 1/2 hours at 250 degrees. Check and turn every hour. Remove and dice or flake meat, saving 1/2 cup drippings. Add barbecue sauce and 1/2 cup drippings to meat and simmer on range for 1/2 hour. Serve over hamburger buns. Serves 9 hungry men. Decrease or increase proportionately for smaller or larger departments.
