1 chuck roast
6-8 carrots
6 potatoes
1 pkg. Swiss steak gravy mix

Brown roast on both sides in a skillet. After the roast is browned, place in the crock pot along with carrots and potatoes, peeled and cut in half. Prepare gravy mix and pour over the roast. Cook for several hours.
