PORK & SAUERKRAUT
 

Pork shoulder or spare ribs or country ribs
Onions
Sauerkraut
Apple, cut into 8ths
Caraway seeds (optional)
Potatoes or sweet potatoes, unpeeled
Pepper to taste

Brown pork in a small amount of fat. When well browned, add onions and saute until soft. Add sauerkraut, apples and caraway. Add potatoes, cover and let cook on a low flame until potatoes are done. Place potatoes on top of the pork and sauerkraut and they will steam cook.
