1 lb. sausage (regular or hot) 2 lg. onions 1 qt. stewed tomatoes 1 lb. any macaroni Salt and pepper Sugar to taste Break up sausage in skillet. Add the 2 onions coarsely chopped. Saute lightly, just until onions are limp and sausage is gray, not browned. While sausage is sauteing, boil macaroni until it is al dente. Drain and put in large casserole dish. Drain grease from sausage. Add to casserole along with the tomatoes. Stir and add salt, pepper and sugar to suit your taste. Bake at 325 degrees for about 1 hour. Stir 2 or 3 times during baking time. |
