CREATE-YOUR-OWN-CASSEROLE
 

6 c. cooked, brown rice (instant or reg.)
3 c. cooked chicken or 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef or cubed steak, cooked
1 c. chopped onion
1 chopped bell pepper
1 c. chopped mushrooms, fresh or canned
1 can green peas or green beans, drained
3 c. stewed tomatoes (Mexican, Italian or Cajun)
1 to 2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
2 tbsp. garlic powder
1 sm. can chopped green chilies (optional)

Cook rice according to package directions. Add meat of your choice. Cover and set aside.

In a small amount of cooking oil, saute onions, bell peppers and mushrooms until transparent. Add to rice and meat mixture. Stir in garlic, Tabasco and stewed tomatoes. Mix well. Add in peas or green beans. Cover and heat in 350 degree oven for 15 minutes or heat in microwave.
